Ok, im new to volvos and newer still to this particular forum... hello everyone.
I recently was GIVEN a '67 122s (2dr) that has seen better days but wasn't beyond me taking it on as my new little project car. Im second owner, previous one had begun dissassembly and restoration was his intent i suppose, as he had bought A LOT of new parts and left them in the boxes about 13 years ago.
Anyway, i have a ton of engine and other questions, but ill get to that later on... my problem now is bees. Theres a beehive in the car and they are multiplying, and getting pissed at me working on the car. The big problem is I CANT FIND IT! Now i have looked at all the obvious places, and narrowed it down to the front half of the car, not sure of left or right side, but when i bang on the fender above the headlamp i get the loudest "buzz" from the hive. I have spent too many days and too many dollars on trying to find these bastards with a can of bugspray, and ignoring them got me stung. Bombs or foggers have been suggested, but you all, having most likely taken the front ends apart many times on these cars may be able to help me figure out where the hell these bees are at, so i can exterminate them and get started detailing my engine compartment.
