parked my Volvo the other night. There had been NO indications of any trouble. Next morning engine won't turn over then I noticed I have no electrical power at all...no power windows, horn, blinkers, nothing. Recharged then replaced battery still nothing. I had a similar problem a year ago with the '88' Volvo (also 740) that turned out to be a poor ground strap connection but a continuity check indicates a "good" connection. I know it's a fixable problem i just hate the idea of sticking my head in a hot engine compart and unwrapping/rewrapping wire harness, cleaning, etc. Because I get NO power anywhere I don't suspect the starter system. I dread the "CPU is bad". Have you any suggestions for what to investigate first, second, third, etc. I've been busting my knuckles on cars and Volvos for a long time (20 yrs) so the obvious stuff is covered. BTW i currently own 3 1991 740's so swap til you drop is an option but my kidz will want their parts back.
any help is greatly appreciated
