No Horn 200

My 1991 240 SE Wagon's HORN stopped working out of the blue. The fuse is good. Do these cars have a history of bad horns? How can I check the horns? Do they up and quit? Is there a common flaw or simple fix. I really like the sound of my horn and it bugs me that it doesn't work -- plus it is a safety issue as well,
