Hey there. I am looking at having IPD sell turbo timers, but thought I should do a little research first. So, first I would like to ask how many of you out there have turbo timers on your cars, and what do you think about them? Second, do you think that they work? Have you had any concerns with theft (someone jumping in your car after you leave it)? I am trying to get as much info as possible, to see if this is a product that would sell, and something that would work. Do you all have a preference of brand? I am currently looking at the A'PEXi unit, and like what they are offering.
On a side note, IPD did some testing back in '86 when the watercooled turbo's first came out, and found that the watercooled turbo actually cooled the turbo down after the car was shut off, MUCH faster than the standard oil-cooled turbos, and IPD decided that a turbo timer was not really needed.
SO, I want opinions. Let me know what you guys think. Thanks for your help.
