losing power and greasy rearwindow 200

I have a '90 240DL Wagon.

I noticed that my rear window was dirty, upon further inspection it appeared to be oil all over the back of the car. I cleaned the window and drove home. When I arrived the window was all oily again, can this be oil coming from the exhaust spraying the back of the car when I'm driving? What would cause such a thing? No appearance on burning oil ie. blue smoke.

Also when I started the car the next day it has no power. The engine revs and it takes a long time to "get in gear" and won't accelerate above 20-25mph. Any ideas?

Thanks,
Sam
