Hello John and others who have made there own Lower brace,

I have built the lower chassis brace as you did and greased the surfaces that rub together. However, when I brake hard, I get a short squeeking sound which was not present before the brace was installed. Have you had this problem too and how did you fix it? I am assuming that the brace is causing the squeek. I did not weld the lower brace together. If I welded the cross bar of the brace, would that fix the squeek?
