I'm Torn... :-/ 200

Well as some of you know I've been trying to bring my family's 84 245 back to its former glory. It has been interesting so far.
Now I'm pondering weather it is worth my time and money ($1000-$2000+) to restore this beast when I could get a later model with less rust and good paint, interior, mechanical etc. for the same money.
I could still do all the cool stuff that I originally wanted to but would just have a solid platform to work from.
I've been checking around on some sites and there are lots of 240s w/in my price range. Especially in the Potland/Vancouver metro area.
I think an 86-93 model would be better since they have the galvanized steel and maybe less miles too.
I feel kinda bad having torn the guts out of the old girl and all the hours my friends and I have put into it up to this point to just give her up...
What do you all think?
Thanks
Oliver
