Hello All:
I am going to add seat heaters to my '92 245, which didn't come with them from the factory. I have already "harvested" two sets of grids, plus a spare along with the switches/y-shaped harness from the boneyard. As expected, these heaters need some soldering work, particularly in the vicinity of the thermostats. I hope to have that finished up this week, complete with some heat shrink for strain relief at the vulnerable points.
I have found the connectors under the seats above the vents for the heaters, and assumed that because they were there that the rest of the harness would also be in place for attaching the switch harness. I had a few minutes last night, so I pulled the driver's seat, but to my surprise, I didn't see the connection for the switch harness.
My question is, did I miss it, or is it likely that it simply isn't there? I can harvest one from the boneyard, but that is a lot of work that I don't want to deal with in the summer heat! Also, for the '92 model year, what fuse should the seat heaters be on?
Thanks!
