960 AW 30/40 transmission pan sealer? 900

My 92 960 has had a slow drip around the trans pan.It looks like someone put an orange gasket of some sort on it. I called the dealer and my parts guy and it doesn't take a gasket,but a special sealer and they both want $80 for a tube of this stuff.I've seen and used some sealer called THE RIGHT STUFF at auto zone,about $15 a can.Can I use this or has anyone had any luck with any other sealers? I dont want to do ths job more than once and it's getting ready for a road trip so I'm doing a few other things also.Letme know please,thanks Dave
