Replacing Seat Springs... Tips? 200

Two of my springs are now shot on my driver's seat. So, I decided to order a new seat spring support from iPD for $13.

Although I've never removed the seat before, I've read it was just disconnecting the seat heaters underneath and removing 4 bolts.

However, the iPD rep said he'd prefers removing the bottom seat cushion entirely and working on it this way. There are 4 or 6 hogties and clips one must undo to properly do this. Has anyone done it this way before?

If I had a helper should I just remove the seat and say to heck with it, or what would be the easiest way to accomplish this for better butt support? :-)
