why does this happen, vacuum leak affecting idle speed 700

Poking around under the hood. Pulled a vacuum hose. Idle sped up a little. Is this indicitive of a good O2 sensor? I haven't pulled the plug and checked the resistance values yet, but I seem to remember the FAQ's saying to induce a vacuum leak when checking the O2 sensor. It's an 87 760, B230FT.
