Burning LOTS of oil 700 1985

I have a 1985 745ti that is burning a lot of oil. The oil is showing up in the intake, and the pipe from the intercooler, but have no oil on the turbo side of the intercooler. I have checked the turbo, and there is little to no play in the turbo impeller shaft.
