RADIO FACE PLATE STOLEN 700

Radio still plays, just face plate was taken. Can I put another face plate for 89 740 radio on it without having code no. changes or problems. Any else have this problem. Welcome to NYC as my neighbor said. Broke glass, took radio face plate and front headlight covers. Thanks for advice. John
