List,
1st of all, this is a LH 2.4 car. '89 gle, 16valve. I'm still getting no power to the red/white wire that comes off the coil. It runs to the powerstage, it's not hot before the PS. There is a blue wire that comes into the Powerstage that is hot. From there the red/white wire goes to the ecu (so I've been told). There is a red/white wire that comes from the ECU (I'm assuming it's the same wire) it is not hot coming from the ECU. So, it's either an ECU problem (new one on the way) or a problem with the ecu not getting power to the correct terminals (bad switch?). Here's what I found by taking a test light and grounding it, then touching to individual posts on the ECU harness. #3 makes the fuel pump relay click. #'s 18 and 22 are HOT. When switching the light to a powered contact and searching for grounds, #'s 5 6 7 9 14 17 27 29 30 33 and 35 light up the bulb (they are grounded). Is this correct? Like I said, I've got a new (used) ECU on the way, I've replaced the Powerstage, the reference sensor, the coil, the plugs, distributor, plug wires, coil wire.... I'm stumped. Come on guys, help me get my wagon back. Do I have a bad wire? Bad Switch? Perhaps something should be hot that isn't? Thanks in advance-
