HELP!!!!!!!!!! D@MN strut removal is killing me.... big problems I need help 200 1982

So i buy some new struts and shocks to put on my '82 244ti and i am adding some sport springs i bought a while ago. anyway i buy the IPD tool and the nut will not loosen i put so much force on it that the whole tube is spinning on one side so i go to advanced auto and for once they have what i need i buy the $25 kit and no go the oval w/flat sides shaped tool is slightly too could this be right or did i damage the piece, small so 7 hours i pry and clamp and nothing

i even tried hitting the ipd tool w/a hammer to just break the nut loose no go and now a not so new tool!!!


anyone have any suggestions or have this problem before?

the springs and struts are being removed and replaced

what do i need to do
and i will do anything (minus paying someone to do it, at this point) b/c the car is up on stands in the driveway i just need it done
i have alot of money and time in the hole right now w/zero result


please help.... so ,much for being a couple hour job huh
