have run a jumper between fuses 4 and 6 on the fuse panel and the fuel pumps come on, just checked today,
there is no spark at the plugs, then we checked spark at the coil, there is none. will a bad coil keep the fuel pump from coming on? could it be something else bad not making the coil work. before she stopped running the car would run fine, then it would start running rough and rich and it would stall out like running out of gas, and would take 20 minutes or so to start up, and it was getting gas underhood because i could smell it, i started it in the morning and it ran rough like it was running out of gas then it died and never started again, please help guys, do coils start acting up before they go altogether,
could it be something else making the coil not work, we put a test light on the coil wires and there is power.. please help...she has 295.000 miles and i want to break the 300.000 mile mark.the fuel pump relay has been changed, please help. she's an 86 240gl with 295.000.. thanks
