Hello,
I've owned my '85 740 Turbo since November, and love it.
However, ever since I've owned it, every time you change the flow of air (i.e. from defrost to blow-in-your-face to blow-at-your-feet to whatever), you could hear the vacuums working.
First off: I thought it sounded cool. Is it supposed to do that?
Now second: it stopped working the other day. (Well, not altogether. It works intermittently. I'll change the position of the switch, and nothing usually happens till I start the car again.) I suspect a broken hose or valve or something goofy in there. Something easy to fix. What's the best way to access all those things? Will I have to take the dash apart? If so, what's the procedure there? (I'm afraid to break anything. It's an old car.)
And is there any part in there that commonly fails that I should check first?
Thanks all
