the most valueable info for your to test your feul system. 700

i hope you read this because it's worth all the money in the world.
Step one take the plug of the distrubtor that leads to the coil if you don't know what the coil plug is it's the bottom plug on the distributor cap. now put the plug on the engine block and have somebody turn the car on not start just turn on until all the lights on the dash board light up.
if this sparks then your sensor in the distribor (not distributor cap) that turns on the fuel pump works if it doesn't work then you have one of two problems the sensor in the distribtor is bad or the power box neer the batter is dead. SO

Second part
keep the plug out and unhook the power that leads to the distributor (the power is below the cap you have to push up on the wire and pull to pull it out very easy) now that it's out you should be looking at a connector that has three prongs. take a paper clip and place one end of it in the middle then place the other end in one of the other slots if you don't hear the injectors kick in, take it out and place it in the other slot so when the injectors kick in u should have one end of the paper clip in the middle and the other in one of the sides. Now make sure u still have that plug on the block so you can see if there is a spark no spark no start!!! Now if you get a spark after you connect the paper clip then you have a problem. This means your power box works fine but the sensor in you distributor (not distributor cap) is done very common. You have two choices one take the distributor out and have the dealer ship replace it or by a new distributor faq's on the installation. i just went through this with my car. That testing is worth every penny because it test's the pump the coil the plug and the power bock basically the whole system. good luck and have fun.
