My girlfriend recently got a '85 244DL and we are having a strange issue with it. the car runs beautifly most of the time but after its been shut off (weather its for a long time or just a few minutes) the first time she goes to really accelerate it gets to about the point where it would usually shift to second gear (its an aw71 tranny) and it stalls for a second.. but then it picks right back up. this concerns me because it could prove to be dangerous if she were trying to pull out on to a busy road where every second counts. have any of you run across this before??
