Climate vacuum control question 700 1985

I seem to have a vacuum leak coming from the climate control valve. I assume I can just buy that part from Volvo, but I could not tell how you get the little colored vacuum hoses off the control valve assembly. They are so tight I could not pull them off. Is there a trick to getting them off, or are the glued or something. This is a manual control system.
