the 164 chronicles, vol III 140-160

this is in regard to my last 2 posts. in a nutshell, my 73 164E was sitting for awhile, moved every couiple weeks to mow under it. my brother called me and told me that the fuel line busted, and we resolved that, now the poor old coot doesn't start. it tries, but nogo. at first, we thought it was an issue with the fuel injection, but after pulling the line off the rail and it shot gas all over the place :) there could still be issues w/ the FI, because i read it needs @least 30 psi. but now the coil isn't putting off any electricity. i replaced the ignition coil, and nothing, still no spark. i don't think it's an issue with the condenser(little resistor that looks like an M-80) but my assumptions are just that. so does anyone have any ideas? the guy @ the auto parts store said it could be the points, but i thought the points were in the distributor, which i thought was *after* the ignition coil in this equation. so i guess my question is; what the damn am i doing wrong?!? should i get an inline pressure guage to make sure i have 30 psi in the line? even if i did, why would i not get a spark from the ignition coil? does anyone know of a good vintage volvo mechanic in the central florida area? does someone who knows whats going on wanna make a couple bucks? i'm at the end of my rope, and between this and the tranny blowing in my 740(at only 212,000 miles no less!) i'm pretty close to just saying f*ck it, selling my volvos and buying a damn civic and becoming one of those drones driving around w/ a friggin 7" muffler and giant wing.
