So in the process of trying to diagnose my no-start problem, I take the opportunity to clean various electrical connections in the engine compartment. Only when it's all too late do I read the dire warning in my book not to remove the connector to the ignition control unit for Volvo/Chrysler ignition ('83-'88) because it's a one time use connector and the sleeves inside the connector break when you pull it off.
Anyone ever made this same mistake?
Did I just buy myself a new ignition wiring harness?
Does it really make the connector no longer continue to conduct electricity? Or does it just not stay plugged in as well as it used to?
grrr... this just isn't my day.
