Gang, let me start by saying I searched the site for answers before posting this message. The knowledge that has been captured here is just amazing......
I have a '92 944T that is starting hard and stalling often - especially when the car is hto and been running and/or the weather is warmer than usual (live in Richmond, VA). I have to gas it and literally throw it into drive to get it going. Once I get it going, it is OK an has only stalled on the highway a few times. Here is what I've checked and replaced over the past few months....
-Checked all air intake and turbo hoses (even the one with a switch built into it) - some had holes so they all got replaced (pricey!)
-Replaced all the 5/32" vaccuum rubber tubing
-New air filter
-All new belts (unrelated I know - but it needed it)
I am suspecting the AMM, cap/rotor and spark plugs, however I am not an expert like most of you. Any ideas? Thanks in advance for any advice and/or thoughts.
