940 Not running 900 1994

It's been 3 weeks and my 945 is still dead. It happened after a full ABS stop. I don't get a tach needle moving when trying to crank- well, sometimes. Once in a great while it will start for a second or two.
I have changed the RPM sensor on the bell housing as well as the power stage or whatever it's called on the driver's side near the airbox. I have checked connections (and cleaned them) at the RPM sensor, airbox, radio suppression relay and any other connection I could find under the hood. I have checked the connection at the ECU and all appears okay there. I don't get a code when checking socket 6 of the OBD. Socket 2 tests seem to be okay, with the fan and other miscellaneous clicking, etc.
The motor mount ground connection on the passenger side was broken, so I used some heavy wire and made one. I'm sure there is more I've done after studying the FAQ, but it escapes me just now.
It appears I have a bad connection somewhere. Ground or otherwise......
Does anyone know if this model has a typical problem such as this? I would prefer to have some idea of where to look instead of disassembling the car totally......
Thank you
