I recently have been experiencing a problem with my windows.
Sometimes when I put the key in and start up the car, my windows all function properly. The next time I am in the car the windows don't work. This may last through a few startups and then maybe after five times with no windows going up and down, they will work again for one time.

This is the case for all my window switches.

It also seems that when this happens at night and the window switches are lit up, when I press the window switch to try to activate it, that the window light on the driver's side and the passenger side goes out until I release it and it then comes back on.

Is it something as simple as replacing the main window switch cluster on the driver's side?

Could this be bad?

Or is it a short somewhere?
