'KG Trimning' extractor-header : which exhaust-system set-up? 200 1979

Good early morning all,

I will receive my almost-new "KG Trimning" (4-2-1) extractor-header (Type 1) soon.

It's primary pipes are 1 3/8". "KG Trimning" recommends matching the header to a 2 1/2" exhaust system.

At this point, I have the standard Canadian Volvo 2" system: no cat, with resonator, middle muffler and large rear muffler.

The engine it will go on is a 2.3-liter with 11:1 CR, K camshaft, 20.5 lbs flywheel lightened to 17.5 lbs. The car is a daily driver.

May I use the header, with satisfying results, with my present 2" exhaust system?

If not, what exhaust system set-up would prove optimal?

I do not have a good grasp of exhaust system subtleties.
