Car wont start 200 1990

Ok, my problem. I have a recently aquired 1990 240 which I took for a short drive, then got home, turned the car off, needed to turn the car on again, but it wouldn't start. I'd had some problems with the engine having a hard time starting when hot before, so I waited until the next day and tried again, but still no luck. It sounds like the engine begins to turn over, but doesn't want to start. I'm imagining some problem with the fuel injectors or fuel pump, but am not sure. Voltmeter shows an adequate batter charge...everything else seems fine...

Any suggestions or similar experiences would be appreciated.
