I have a simple but puzzling question. Somewhere along the way on my Volvo self repair education I was either told that after I use run a tankful of gas with a fuel system cleaner (BG44K), to change the oil afterwards.

Here is what is puzzling me: I recently mentioned this to several techs, one of whom works for the Robert Bosch Corporation, and they all asked me why ... "Wwhat does the fuel system have to do with the your oil?" ... "I never heard of that!" ... "Am I missing something as a tech?"

I had no answer for them. I may have known why but have since forgotten.
