940/960 what is your ride height? front spring issues '945se 900

Yesterday I replaced my front struts / coil springs / ball joints /
tie rod ends / strut rod bushings. Now my ride height in front is 3-3.5"
I am describing vertical opening between top of tire and bottom fenderwell.
as rear is 1" (with nivomats) are the rear springs/shocks worn and sagging?
or did the aftermarket coil springs from Groton not match? I was surprised
that the length of replacements was longer than originals removed, usually
its the opposite. The part # matched 760 to '90 & 960 '92 up, the 940 SE is
somewhere between but the body is the 760/960 type so I'm baffled, probably
should have gone for "lowering springs". I suppose I can do it but this is
a major job, and even had to slot towers to get caster in mid green range.

I guess I could get rancho shocks for the rear and "XC Cross Country" decal

any input or spring info will be appreciated.
