Camshaft Position Sensor 900

I have a 94-960. Coming back from a trip this weekend I made a stop. And when I started again my engine light came on. It didn’t stall and I didn’t notice any hesitation in the engine. When I checked the code, the A-2 socket came back as 3-1-4 (Camshaft position sensor). Can anyone tell me where this sensor is located and whether this is relatively easy to replace? Is this going to costs big bucks?

Also, what does this sensor do?

Thanks in advance.

Rod
