quick question…On a 86 764 Turbo fuel pump 700 1986

Guys

A quick question…On a 86 764 Turbo should the fuel pump energize for a couple of seconds prior when turning on the key prior to turning over the engine. Mine doesn’t and I was wondering if this was the reason why I have turn over the engine for a couple of sec extra than with most FI vehicles.

Other than that It runs great. I am also going to R&R the fuel pump check valve as it gets a bit vapor problems when it sits after a hot run.
