1987 Volvo will not start part of the time. 700 1987

I have a 1987 740. The starter turns the motor over very good. Some time it will srart and other times it act like it is not getting any fire and will not start. Where do I go from here? Any help would would be appreciated. It has a B230F ( NON TURBO ) Motor. Thanks Ken
