You guys are probably sick of hearing me whine about my power windows without getting them fixed the first time, but I want to get some advice before I take it into the shop.

I'm almost positive that the windows keep shorting when I try to roll them down/up because of condensation . Almost every time I've blown out the fuse (which is a lot) has been at night, which is somewhat damp due to the humidity where I live. Is this a problem that can be resolved (i.e., bad insulation on the wiring that needs to be replaced) or is there little I can do to fix it? The windows generally work fine during the (drier) day, but at night I try to be really careful with them because I haven't had much luck.

Is there anything I can do to resolve the problem without bringing in "real" mechanics?
