OK ..guys, she bought the 740 (91 NA w/ 172K)for 2500.00 cash. I would not have bought it - personally, but lets see if she is not too bad off.
It was a fuse that worked the air/shift lock/windows. I replaced that, and all seemed well. Then I replaced a 1056 bulb at the rear - noting that there is a water leak around the light assembly itself. Take it for a drive, and after a mile or so - the air/SL/windows fuse blows, and the bulb burned out light on the dash is back on. Could these areas/events be related? So far the air/SL/windows fuse has held - no more work on the rear bulb yet.
Main problem I see - transmission is very hard in the shifting - and often will only change when you let the gas off a bit - after going well past what should be the normal shift point. Problem or part??
The owner said that he changed oil regularly, but I doubt that. The camshaft has some crud on it.
Thanks for all help
