new tires? 200 1990

hello all,
the mirrors on my "new" 1990 240 vibrate when cruising around 100-120 km on the highway...i'm planning on getting an alignment but am wondering if i should get 2 new front tires.....the front tires are pretty fresh with lots of tread but they are different brands.....they do, however, have most of the same specifications.....so, i guess my questions are - does a mismatched pair of tires make a significant difference or will my existing tires be fine with an alignment? the back tires are matched and will be switched during winter with a matching set of snow tires......
