loose wire in dash to right of glovebox... puprose? 700

I pulled the glove box this evening to do some overdo gluing and repairs and found a random wire whose function I don't know.

The wire in question is a single wire, green with a black stripe, and has the blue, female, plastic, rectangular connector on the end. It comes from and sits directly to the right of the glove box in the jumble of wires near the heater blower.

If anyone knows the function of this wire and could let me know I'd appreciate it.
