HELP...M46 removal roadblock 700

Hey...

Before I mess stuff up...I have taken teh driveshaft off and am trying to disengage the gear selector. I got the allen screw out (Haynes step 6) but can't take the pin outconnecting the selector rod to the gearshift. Do I just put it out or are there clips...anyone who has done this, could you please give me a tip.
