The brake pedal in my 1990 760 Turbo wagon has become slightly spongy lately, and requires more travel before the brakes actuate, i.e., no braking action for the first approximately 1" of pedal travel. I also have a 240, and in that I get immediate brake response when I press the brake pedal.
I bled the brakes in the 760 thinking there might be air in the system, and the fluid came out clear and bubble-free at all 4 corners. After bleeding, there was no change in pedal response. One other piece of info: when at a stop holding my foot on the brake, the pedal slowly sinks. Is it time for a new master cylinder?
