I am finishing up replacing the struts and bushings on my 86 240. In the process I have replace the sway bar bushing with new poly ones. Can anyone tell me the torque settings for the bolt connecting the link to the control arm and the torque for the nut connecting the sway bar to the link. I think you just tighten than one until the bushing is pushed out edge of the two washer thingies, but I'm not positive. Any help is appreciated. Thanks.
Also, I have a question about tightening the rear bushing on the control arm. I know I'm supposed to only finger tighten it. Let the car down. Bounce it around. Roll it back and forth to let the bushing settle in. Then torque it to specs. Is the nut accessible thru the bracket on the passenger side. The exhaust pipe sure does seem like it would make the procedure difficult. Mine isn't a turbo. I have read that they require you to drop the pipe. Thanks again.
