For those who didn't read the first post that I made, my '87 240 DL with 189k miles has been giving me rough idle problems/stalling. I checked the Fuel Pressure Regulator today as well as the Mass Air-flow sensor, and the FPR put out a fairly good stream. One thing that just started today is the Pump noise from both the external (brand-new) pump and the in-tank pump. The one in the tank is making kind of a whine. Will a dirty throttle body cause a fuel pump whine? Is there something that I am overlooking? What about the oxygen sensor? Any help would be greatly appreciated...
