Ford External Regulator for Bosch Alternator 700

Hi All:

I found this great article on how to correct the so called "Lazy Regulator Syndrome" exprienced by some Bosch Alternators, mine included. I went through two Bosch internal regulators, to no avail. Finally I found this article and modified my Alternator. Promlem Solved!!! My Brick charges perfectly now. No more dead batteries. It uses a Ford External Regulator, available anywhere for 1/3 the price of a Bosch Internal Regulator.

Here's another link from Turbobricks that allows you to use the existing Internal Regulator Shell after you cut some wires.

I used the first article because I had a 3 wire Brush holder on hand from a 1970's Mecedes.
