Hard shift -- valve body rebuild? 900 1991

I'd like to change to synthetic ATF for the auto tran in my 945T. I'd also like to get the valve body rebuilt to fix those body-jerking shifts from 1-2 and 2-3.

What order should I perform these in:

- flush with dino ATF
- rebuild valve body
- flush with synthetic

?
