turbo 900 1994

Will be taking a long trip this weekend 400+miles oneway and I am worried about my turbo. She is pushing oil past the seals and I am losing about 1/2 quart of oil every two weeks. I am not basing it on mileage as I am driving the car very little these days only short distances (5-10 miles/day). I would hate for her to go out especially in the 90+degree weather we have been having I usually don't use AC, if I do will it put more strain on the turbo? Any suggestions, advice, or criticisms woul be appreciated.
