Replacing mufflers DIY? 200

I need to replace my mufflers and tailpipes and am considering doing it myself. I'm a fairly decent mechanic, but I don't have a lot of special tools that I might need for doing that kind of work, like torches and stuff like that. Is this a job better left to the pros or is it something I can probably tackle at home? Any sage advice?
