Blower upgrade 780 to 4 speed blower. 700

My blower motor went bad and I was wondering if it can be upgraded to the 4 speed blower that was introduced in the 780 I guess in April. My manufacture date was 2/89... the junkyard had one that had a different blower motor..can I interchange the lower plenum to accomodate it and does my ecc have to be changed out also..is the wiring different..ie, harness...Does anyone know about this stuff?..thanks Jeffry
