I own a 240 2dr DL where the door opens too wide, the trim gets pinched by the end of the front fender, and bends out sideways (ugly!) when i try to bend it back, it ends up pushing the front fender trim forward when i open the door. My pastor (good guy, bad driver) who gave me the car had hit the general hinge area backing out of a carport (!) and had to shim out the door with washers. I bought a new door for better looks, but still had to shim it out. All looks well, but it just plain opens too wide. Is there a way to block it from oopening to an almost 90 degree angle? I'm on my second peice of trim and I want to fix this before I paint the car. Thanks!
