Hey Bricksters, Last night my daughter called five minutes before curfew to tell us that her car was on fire. By the time I threw my clothes on and got in my car she had called the fire dept., but the flame had extinguished itself by time they got on the line(Thank God!). When I arrived, she showed me where the flame was. It was the wire loom that runs between the power steering pump and the engine block(looks like it goes to the altenator?). I disconnected the battery and inulated the wires and re-connected the battery to have hazzard lights for the pull home. I had to come to work early this morning so I haven't had time to explore the damage. Would anyone know if this sounds familiar, would it be repairable, do I need to look for a new loom, and is it the whole engine loom that I need? I always get great advice from this forum. Thanks to All.
Thanks in advance, Rick.
