Frequency Valve Hose Connections 200 1980

Hi,

I want to replace the frequency valve on my 1980 242 with B21-F K-jet. The original frrequency valve has a somewhat hard plastic hose that is permanently attached. The new one I received from FCP Groton only has a bare barbed nipple for this same connection end. Is it acceptable to use high grade fuel hose and a clamp istead of the "welded on" plastic hose ?
