Hi all,
My Amazon wagon has this random overflowing issue. When I fill my tank, I never "top it off", so, as soon as the pump clicks off, I'm done. Usually, I drive 15-20 miles to work after a fill up. Sometimes, I'll go to the parking lot, or out to my driveway to discover that the old girl has been dribbling from the gas cap. I know that this is DANGEROUS, let alone what it's doing/done to my paint. Is there a vent pipe or hose that I can't see that's maybe clogged? Possibly a new cap gasket? The cap does make a "sssss" noise AS it's being opened, so the tank must hold pressure. I've never heard it hissing, nor have I ever caught it dribbling. It's a locking cap, kept locked, so midnight siphoning is unlikely. Also, it must not leak too much, as I'm getting 22-28mpg (w/o overdrive), depending on how much highway I'm driving. Any ideas or suggestions are always greatly appreciated!
Hoping my wagon doesn't burn,
John Rayl
