My windshield has made it all 240k miles without a chip. However, it was pitted, like it had been sanddblasted. I drive home everyday into the west sun and it was getting very hard to see. So- I read the archives and asked my local glass shop to order a 1992 windshield (Pilkenton). Total cost was $210.00. It took them about 25 minutes. It looks so much better and it really has cut significantly down on the wind noise. Thank you for the tips. Life is to short to have a dirty/bad windshield!
